Donato Rotunno
Donato Rotunno è nato in Lussemburgo nel 1966. Laureato all’Institut des Arts de Diffusion di Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgio), nel 1995 ha fondato Tarantula Luxembourg, con cui ha prodotto oltre 30 film. La sua carriera di regista è iniziata con il suo film di diploma, Nebbiolo rosso. Ha in seguito diretto documentari su tematiche legate al Lussemburgo, tra cui l’immigrazione (Terra Mia Terra Nostra, Les Mesures du rectangle) e il multiculturalismo (Blà Blä Blá), sul ruolo della politica nella società (André et les voix dissidents) e sul rapporto tra cinema e arte contemporanea (Making of a picture, Landscape with a corpse, Dreams have a language). Con la sua opera prima, In a Dark Place, ha vinto il premio per il miglior contributo artistico al Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis. Il suo secondo film, Baby(a)lone, tratto dal romanzo “Amok” di Tullio Forgiarini, è stato selezionato in numerosi festival internazionali ed è stato scelto per rappresentare il Lussemburgo agli Oscar 2015. Io sto bene è il suo terzo film.
