Daughter of Mine by Laura Bispuri, starring Valeria Golino and Alba Rohrwacher, will premiere in competition at the Berlin International Film Festival. The second film by the director, whose first film Sworn Virgin also premiered in competition in Berlin, it’s among the first titles announced by the Berlinale.
The film is an Italian/German/Swiss co-production, produced by Vivo Film, Colorado Film with Rai Cinema, Match Factory Productions and Bord Cadre Films, in co-production with ZDF/Arte and RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera.
The film is supported by Eurimages, MIBACT – Direzione Generale Cinema, Regione Sardegna,with the support of Film und Medienstiftung NRW, Regione Lazio, with the participation of Cinéforom, Loterie Romande, developed with the support of the Creative Europe Programme – MEDIA of the European Union.
Daughter of Mine is written by Francesca Manieri and Laura Bispuri, cinematography by Vladan Radovic, editing by Carlotta Cristiani, original music by Nando Di Cosimo, costumes by Antonella Cannarozzi, production design by Ilaria Sadun.
In addition to Valeria Golino and Alba Rohrwacher, the cast also includes Sara Casu, Udo Kier and Michele Carboni.
