At the 34th Haifa International Film Festival, the Golden Anchor Award as best Balkan and Mediterrean film goes to“Daughter of Mine”.

Susanna Nicchiarelli has won the Suso Cecchi d’Amico Award thanks to “Nico, 1988”. The award, at its 7th edition, is assigned  to an author of an Italian original screenplay in which a female character has a relevant role. The ceremony has taken place on the 21st of July at the Arena La Pineta cinema in Castiglioncello.  

“Nico, 1988” by Susanna Nicchiarelli will be released in German cinemas tomorrow, the 18th of August, distributed by Film Kino Text.

To celebrate “Nico, 1988” release, the American Cinemateque has organized a series of screenings with the movies of the singer/model at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles. Together with the screenings of “La Dolce Vita” and the documentary “The Velvet Underground and Nico”, there will be the avant-première of Susanna Nicchiarelli’s movie, who will be officially released in the U.S.A…

Daughter of Mine by Laura Bispuri and Nico, 1988 by Susanna Nicchiarelli will be both presented in the Horizons section of prestigious Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

The French premiere of Daughter of Mine will take place tonight at 8pm at MK2 Beaubourg in Paris. The director Laura Bispuri and the actresses Valeria Golino and Alba Rohrwacher will participate in the event. The film will be released in French cinemas the 27th of June, distributed by Ufo Distribution.

The nominations for the Silver Ribbons Awards 2018 have been announced.
